On Saturday, October 19th at 7:00 P.M. on Joss Dow Field the Southern Connecticut Men Soccer team will take on Saint Anselm College in a decisive NE-10 conference game. This game is extremely important for both teams who are struggling to gain a top 8 position in the conference in order to become eligible to play in the conference tournament. Southern has had a tough first half of the season with a record of 2-4-4 while the Saint Anselm Hawks have a record of 6-5-0.
The Home field advantage may be the key to a Saturday result for the Owls but they have not had a strong record at home. Players on the team are confident that they can turn their season around. First they have a non-conference match against Bridgeport University on Wednesday where the coach was reported saying he would try and give players who have not had a chance to play an opportunity. Maybe we will see some changes in the Owls lineup in the game on Saturday.

There is no charge for admittance to the game and all are welcome to support the Owls. A win on Saturday would provide a crucial three points for the Owls and a chance to climb the rankings in the NE-10. The coach is focused on the team picking up just enough points to make the conference tournament which is an elimination tournament. The winner of the conference tournament has an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. Come by and support your Southern Connecticut Owls!

Hacking is a terrible thing that occurs in our society and there should be common knowledge associated with hacking. People should know enough about hacking that they can protect themselves from potentially being targeted. Here we interviewed multiple individuals and asked them common questions that relate to hacking. As we began to dive deeper into hacking, towards areas such as white hat hacking, the participants had no clue what we were talking about.
This is a problem in society since more people should know about the fact that there are people who are paid to hack into others devices. These interviews shed light on the seriousness of educating yourself about hacking in order to prevent being hacked into in the future.
This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.
You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
